Poole Chamber Networking Breakfast
Event on 2015-01-28 07:30:00
Join us for a delicious breakfast of pastries and tea/coffee, network with fellow Poole businesses and take the opportunity to have a quick tour of the Hospice. Rachel Lapworth, Development Director at Lewis-Manning and a founding trustee will give us a fascinating talk on the Hospice and the work they do.
About Lewis-Manning Hospice
We help people and their loved ones live well for the rest of their lives, however long or short that might be. Set in a stunning location overlooking Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island we enable people to find “a new normal”, to manage their symptoms and to enjoy now.
Lewis-Manning Hospice is a charity which provides free specialist palliative nursing care to approximately 650 local people every year with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
-
We promote acceptance, hope and peace of mind in a safe and calming environment.
-
We know that when someone develops cancer or another life-limiting illness their life is changed dramatically and that we can help them live well through their illness and beyond.
-
We aim to ensure that local people are given access to the support they may need to help them cope with their illness and the changes it may bring.
Lewis-Manning Hospice moved into a brand new state-of-the-art facility in 2012 to expand its Day Hospice, Breathlessness Clinic and Lymphoedema Clinic, and now also provides a bedded care unit.
